The short version
Revyz is a study app for families. Parents create and control accounts for children under 13; teens 13 and over may create their own account, which a parent can then join and oversee. We collect only what the product needs, we never sell data, we show no ads, and you can delete everything at any time.
Children's accounts and parental consent
Accounts for children under 13 can only be created by a parent or guardian, who provides consent for their child's use of the service at that moment; these students sign in with a username and we collect no email address, phone number or precise location for them. Students aged 13 or over may register themselves with their own email address, which we store solely to operate their account; the sign-up flow asks their date of birth and directs under-13s to a parent. Parents can view their children's study progress and can remove a child's account (and all its data) at any time.
What we collect
Account data: parent name and email; student first name and username.
Study data: quiz results, flashcard ratings, streaks, XP, mistakes, used to drive the study experience and the parent dashboard.
Uploaded materials: school files and photos you choose to add, used only to generate study content for your family's school community.
Billing: handled by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
We do not run third-party advertising or tracking networks.
AI features
Some features (explanations, turning uploads into study content) send the relevant material to an AI provider for processing. We send only what the feature needs (e.g. the question and the course notes), not your child's identity.
Optional ManageBac connection
Parents may choose to connect their own ManageBac login so Revyz can read their children's grades, teacher feedback and upcoming deadlines twice a day to personalize study plans. This is strictly opt-in: the credential is the parent's own, it is encrypted at rest, it is used for nothing else, and disconnecting deletes it immediately. We read data; we never change anything in ManageBac.
Where data lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database, US East region) and the app is hosted on Vercel. Access is protected by row-level security: each student can only read their own records, and parents only their own family's.
Your rights
You can export or delete your family's data at any time. Deleting an account permanently removes its records. Email support@revyz.app for any privacy request and we'll act on it promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll email the parent account before the change takes effect.
